About the Role

Position Description

The Administration Officer provides comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the organisation. They are responsible for managing day-to-day administrative tasks, maintaining accurate records, and supporting various teams within SRAC to deliver high-quality services to the community.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support

Act as the first point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing a welcoming and professional service.
General administrative support to staff and management, including answering phones, managing correspondence, and organising meetings.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including filing, data entry, and document management.
Assist with basic financial tasks such as processing invoices, expense claims, and petty cash management.

Requirements

Selection Criteria


• Qualifications in business administration, community services or relevant field, or extensive relevant experience in a similar administrative or community support role


• Previous experience and strong commitment to working with Aboriginal people and communities, with a sound understanding of the issues experienced by Aboriginal families living in Greater Western Sydney


• Demonstrated cultural competency and understanding of intergenerational trauma and its impact on Aboriginal communities


• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and provide professional, clear, and prompt administrative support in a fast-paced work environment


• High-level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, staff, and stakeholders


• Demonstrated ability to coordinate administrative aspects of community engagement programs, workshops, events, and outreach initiatives


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), and familiarity with databases and electronic record keeping systems


• Current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) and unrestricted NSW driver’s licence
