OUR SERVICES & PROGRAMS
Our Keeping it Deadly program© has been created based on the feedback from our pilot program ‘Aunts and Uncles’ that we delivered in Cobham Juvenile Justice Centre and through consultation with the staff and many of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander detainees there.
Outreach Service delivers a culturally appropriate, holistic transitional/post release program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in prison or juvenile detention who are living with disability.
Deadly beginnings is a supported playgroup for Aboriginal children from birth to 5 years. SRAC engage children in early intervention activities that will identify any potential developmental delays and provide activities, experiences and connections to other services that will support the child in reaching developmental milestones by school age and promote school readiness.
Aboriginal people with disability have shaped For Our Resilience (FOR) from its inception. FOR focuses on sharing experiences and knowledge among peers, it focuses less on the practice development, and more on the increase in capacity of the people participating to use skills and resources to increase their safety and wellbeing (safeguarding).
With over 25 years of operation SRAC is a community leader in program development, identifying and addressing community need and the resourcing and implementation of culturally appropriate service delivery. SRAC has a talented and experienced team of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander professionals who have the capability to deliver a diverse suite of programs and services to meet your needs.
