DEADLY
BEGINNINGS
Deadly beginnings is a supported playgroup for Aboriginal children from birth to 5 years. SRAC engage children in early intervention activities that will identify any potential developmental delays and provide activities, experiences and connections to other services that will support the child in reaching developmental milestones by school age and promote school readiness.
This group is facilitated by an Aboriginal Early Childhood Teacher who is trained in child development and can identify needs and strengths in children.
SRAC wants to ensure that no child falls through the cracks and all children are given the best possible start to their education, including the identification of disability.
Deadly beginnings a culturally safe space for families to share their needs in regard to their parenting and support the development of positive parenting styles and behaviour patterns.

We offer tailored support for children in at risk of contact with the child protection system. We aim to work with these families to ensure connections to culture and accessible healing.
