About the Role
Position Description
The Care Services Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation, and ongoing management of NDIS, My Aged Care, CHSP programs and activities for participants at SRAC and for the wider Aboriginal Community in Western Sydney. The Care Services Manager supervises a team of Support workers to provide intake and assessment, individual care planning and to facilitate the transition of participants to NDIS or My Aged Care services. They allocate client referrals, manage the Client Management System, invoicing, and NDIS support coordination, and are responsible for the development and delivery of all care services.

Requirements
Selection Criteria
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Social Science, Allied Health or Nursing, or extensiverelevant experience in the Aged Care or Disability sector
Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal Culture, strong commitment to working withIndigenous people & communities, and a broad understanding of the issues experienced byAboriginal people with a disability and their carers living in the community
Extensive experience with provision of NDIS services and knowledge of My Aged Care packages,relevant legislation, and standards.
Understanding of the needs of frail aged, people with disability and their carers, ability to assesssupport needs, develop care plans and facilitate access to services that support those needs
Ability to monitor, supervise and direct staff in the management of client needs, and
resolve difficult situations and crises with staff, clients, carers, and service providers
High level of verbal and written communication, research, problem solving and negotiation skills.Demonstrated skills in report writing and recording case notes
Well-developed interpersonal skills, integrity, and a sensitive approach to working withindividuals. Sense of self-responsibility and motivation in approach to workload and timemanagement. Must be able to work unsupervised, be reliable and meet deadlines
Must hold a current Police Check, Working with Children Check and valid NSW unrestricted driver licence, and be willing to travel widely within the region as required
